Volleyball Recap: Alma Comes Up Short

Alma suffered their biggest defeat since October 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Farmington Cardinals. The loss continues a trend for the Airedales in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Alma was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12, 25-19.

Alma's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Farmington, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Alma will square off against rival Shiloh Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Farmington is set to challenge their familiar foe Van Buren at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
