Mount Notre Dame will head out to face off against the Lakota East Thunderhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Notre Dame will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Mount Notre Dame lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Badin, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. Mount Notre Dame blew past Badin 11-3 on Monday. Mount Notre Dame might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Audrey Gildea was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Kat Zielinski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKenna Manley, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Mount Notre Dame always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badin only posted an OBP of .310.
Meanwhile, Lakota East hadn't done well against Fairfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Thunderhawks came out on top against the Indians by a score of 6-1. The game was the first time the Thunderhawks have beaten the Indians on their field since April 1, 2019.
Kaleigh Crawford made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Crawford was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abrie Shulte, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Haley Thompson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Lakota East has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Notre Dame, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Mount Notre Dame hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lakota East struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
