Basketball Recap: Mooreland Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Mooreland took on Turpin on Saturday. The Bearcats took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. The Bearcats lost against the Cardinals in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-32 score last time.

Mooreland's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Turpin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Coming up, Mooreland will challenge Buffalo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Turpin, they will face off against Shattuck at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.15 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
