            Baseball Preview: Mountain View Toros vs. Highland Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            The Mountain View Toros will face off against the Highland Hawks at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Highland will  challenge  a team with plenty of momentum: Mountain View extended their winning streak to six on Thursday. The Toros' pitcher stepped up to hand Dobson  a   1-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Toros have posted  since February 27th.
Not much got past  Austin Burr, who gave up just  two  hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Dobson off the board.
 At the plate, Mountain View saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Beckham Barney, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Highland, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They skirted past Queen Creek  2-1.
 Highland is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-8.
 Everything went Mountain View's way against Highland when the teams last played  back in February of 2023, as Mountain View made off with  a  6-0 victory. Do  the Toros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
