Softball Recap: Hillcrest Rams vs. Greenville Red Raiders

Hillcrest fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Greenville on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 5-4. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Olivia Baker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
