Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Vestaburg

Vestaburg never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Montabella on Tuesday. They blew past the Mustangs 15-3. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Addison Neelis and Sasha Page made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Neelis tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Page pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Neelis went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Page went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most runs Neelis has posted over her last 15 matchups.

In other batting news, Vestaburg got a massive performance out of Megan Beetley, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits Beetley has posted over her last 15 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsie Stowell, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Vestaburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montabella only posted an OBP of .150.

Vestaburg's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Montabella, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.

As of now, neither Vestaburg nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
