Soccer Game Preview: Evergreen Valley vs. Gilroy

The Evergreen Valley Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Gilroy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Evergreen Valley managed to keep up with Santa Teresa until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Evergreen Valley lost 5-1 to Santa Teresa.

Evergreen Valley's goal came courtesy of Kyle Han, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Gilroy kept a clean sheet against Oak Grove on Saturday. They blew past the Eagles 8-0. The game marked the Mustangs' most dominant victory of the season.

Gilroy's win bumped their record up to 6-1-2. As for Evergreen Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Evergreen Valley might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Gilroy when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Can Evergreen Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
