It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Portage can now relate to. They fell just short of the Northgate Flames by a score of 71-69 on Saturday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Portage's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Northgate, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10.
