Mott Haven is 3-0 against Morrisania since December of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mott Haven Mavericks will head out to square off against the Morrisania Lions at 4:30 p.m. Mott Haven's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so Morrisania's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mott Haven beat South Bronx 40-36. Given the Mavericks' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Phoenix are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Morrisania came into Thursday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Morris 44-9 on Thursday.

Mott Haven pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.1 points per game. As for Morrisania, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Mott Haven strolled past Morrisania in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 34-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mott Haven since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
