The Falls Lake Firebirds had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over Clover Garden School. That looming 68-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Falls Lake yet this season.
Falls Lake can attribute much of their success to Jonathan Taylor-Hamilton, who scored 19 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Taylor-Hamilton scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Hawkins, who scored five points along with 12 assists.
Falls Lake's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Clover Garden School, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falls Lake will take on Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clover Garden School, they will be playing at home against Southern Wake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Wake Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clover Garden School in North Carolina (Southern Wake Academy is ranked 211th, while Clover Garden School is ranked 628th).
