If Stone Memorial was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Watertown on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Rhea County Golden Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stone Memorial fell to 2-1. As for Rhea County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Stone Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Farragut on the 22nd. As for Rhea County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Bryan Station on the 22nd.
