Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Platte). They strolled past the Chadron Cardinals with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 62-46. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 62-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Chadron saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jezy Alcorn posted 15 points and seven rebounds. Alcorn has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Jae Gooder was another key player, putting up eight points.

North Platte's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Chadron, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

North Platte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-32 defeat against Scottsbluff on the 1st. Chadron has also already played their next match, a 42-29 loss against Alliance on the 31st.
