Baseball Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Watertown's offense. They came up short against the South Jefferson Spartans on Thursday, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cyclones in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for South Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season.

While Watertown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
