Softball Recap: McCreary Central Takes a Loss

McCreary Central fell victim to Whitley County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Colonels, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

McCreary Central dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Whitley County, their record is now 3-4.

Looking ahead, McCreary Central will head out on the road to face off against Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give McCreary Central their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Whitley County, they have already played their next match, a 12-0 defeat against Clay County on the 25th.
