Baseball Game Preview: Huntington Beach Oilers vs. Los Alamitos Griffins

For the second straight game, Huntington Beach will face off against Los Alamitos. The Oilers will face off against the Griffins at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Huntington Beach has three straight wins, Los Alamitos has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Huntington Beach barely beat Los Alamitos the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Oilers blew past the Griffins 8-1 on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on CJ Weinstein, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Haidl, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Huntington Beach's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Los Alamitos, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6-2.
