Recap: Cyprus Pirates vs. Hunter Wolverines
The Cyprus Pirates won the last time they faced the Hunter Wolverines, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Cyprus managed a 47-43 win over Hunter.
Cyprus got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tamila Francis out in front who scored 12 points along with three steals. Francis hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Calee Sharp, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
The victory got Cyprus back to even at 7-7. As for Hunter, they bumped their record down to 6-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cyprus will square off against Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Taylorsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday. As for Hunter, they will head out on the road to face off against Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Granger has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14.
