Recap: Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos vs. Four Corners Coyotes
After flying high against the Winter Haven Christian Warriors on Friday, the Mater Brighton Lakes Academy Broncos came back down to earth. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy was beaten by Four Corners 75-45 on Monday. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy lost against Four Corners in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-38 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy saw an underclassman step up: Duriel Muehlbauer scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Justin Tuftan, who scored 10 points.
Leading Four Corners to victory were Ian Parham and Kesh Harpal. Parham scored 29 points, while Harpal scored 34 points. The matchup was Harpal's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samir Dudley, who scored 9 points.
Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Four Corners, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy will challenge Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Four Corners, they will head out on the road to face off against Bell Creek Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
