Baseball Recap: Cato-Meridian Starts Season with Loss at Home

Cato-Meridian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Port Byron Panthers on Tuesday, falling 9-1. Blue Devils fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Tuesday.

The victory got Port Byron back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Cato-Meridian will take on Jordan-Elbridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Port Byron, they will head out to challenge Tully at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
