Basketball Recap: Robinson Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Robinson waltzed into their contest on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victor by a 65-41 margin over the Carson Cougars. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Camri Hobbs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 17 on her way to 30 points along with seven boards and four blocks. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Destiny Chambers was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Allie Martin and Rylee Hedrick certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Martin dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards, while Hedrick dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Hedrick is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played.

Robinson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Carson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, Robinson and Carson will both be playing Concord the next time they take the court. Robinson will head out to face Concord at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Carson will host them at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
