Volleyball Recap: HomeSchool Resource Center Victorious

HomeSchool Resource Center came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Varsity Opponent 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since April 10th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was HomeSchool Resource Center who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 25-19.

Ben Torres paced HomeSchool Resource Center's offense, picking up 11 kills. Torres got some help from Nick Dettlaff and his 15 assists. Elijah Puthusseril controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

HomeSchool Resource Center's win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Looking ahead, HomeSchool Resource Center will host Kankakee Trinity Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
