Basketball Game Preview: West Orange Mountaineers vs. Bayonne Bees

The West Orange Mountaineers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Bayonne Bees at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, West Orange had just enough and edged Cedar Grove out 55-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountaineers.

Meanwhile, Bayonne won against North Bergen on Tuesday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Bayonne was the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over Snyder.

West Orange now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bayonne, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

West Orange might still be hurting after the 69-44 defeat they got from Bayonne when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can West Orange avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
