Basketball Game Recap: Park Center vs. Maple Grove

The Park Center Pirates were the 77-56 winners over the Maple Grove Crimson when they previously met last March. On Tuesday? They had no such luck. Park Center was just a three-ball short of a win and fell 82-80 to Maple Grove. The Pirates' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

The Pirates' defeat pushed them down to 19-5. Maple Grove's victory brought them up to 17-4.

The Pirates will take on Spring Lake Park Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Park Center and Spring Lake Park will really light up the scoreboard. Maple Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial Friday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, the Crimson have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one.
