Softball Game Preview: Purvis Tornadoes vs. Pass Christian Pirates

The Purvis Tornadoes will challenge the Pass Christian Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Purvis sitting on 17 straight wins and Pass Christian on six.

Purvis is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They beat Greene County by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1.

Meanwhile, Pass Christian beat Lawrence County 6-2 on Saturday.

Pass Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Purvis, their win bumped their record up to 24-5.

Purvis skirted past Pass Christian 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
