Soccer Recap: Navasota Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Navasota couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Salado Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, Navasota's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Navasota's loss dropped their record down to 20-4-1. As for Salado, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-3 record this season.

Navasota does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salado, they will take on Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lumberton will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Salado surely won't give up without a fight.
