Football Recap: Penns Grove Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Penns Grove unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 36-6 loss at the hands of the Paulsboro Red Raiders. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Paulsboro had a senior duo take command as Kyaire Harvey rushed for 106 yards and two TDs and Malakhai Mckenzie threw for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penns Grove will welcome Deptford at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Paulsboro, they will be playing at home against Audubon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be the Red Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
