Baseball Recap: Ware's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Ware hadn't done well against Southwick Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Indians never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Ware let Jason Mumper and Trevor Millet run wild. Mumper went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Millet went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Mumper has posted since back in April. Nate Kaczuwka was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Ware and bumps their season record up to 14-1. As for Southwick Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ware will challenge Ludlow at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwick Regional, they will take on Hampshire Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
