Baseball Recap: Alpena Comes Up Short

If Alpena was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Cheboygan on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Freeland Falcons on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Alpena now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Freeland, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Alpena will venture away from home to square off against Cadillac at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeland has already played their next contest (against Cheboygan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
