Football Recap: Southern Prep Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Trinity Christian + How To Watch

Southern Prep Academy faced Trinity Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Rangers received a blow as they fell 43-28 to the Eagles. Despite 165 more yards than the Eagles, the Rangers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Southern Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayden Pace threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 76 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Even if they lost, Southern Prep Academy's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: John Hollister, Braylen Harris, and Jackson Weston, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Southern Prep Academy's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Trinity Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
