Basketball Recap: Ava Good and Chloe Cicero Secure Win for Napoleon

A well-balanced attack led Napoleon over Clay in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. The Napoleon Wildcats were the clear victor by a 47-23 margin over the Clay Eagles. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Napoleon was led to victory by Chloe Cicero and Ava Good. Cicero went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and seven assists, while Good went 7 of 10 on her way to 17 points. That's the most points Cicero has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Miller, who posted four points and seven rebounds.

Clay's loss came despite strong showings from Brynn Reiter and Tori Cousino. Reiter had five points, while Cousino put up four points.

The win got Napoleon back to even at 7-7. As for Clay, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Napoleon is taking a road trip to face off against Bryan at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clay, they will welcome Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
