Baseball Recap: New Richmond Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for New Richmond's offense. They fell just short of the Goshen Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered against the Warriors since April 19, 2022.

New Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Goshen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

New Richmond and Goshen could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Lions will take on West Clermont at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (295 vs. 122). Meanwhile, Goshen (ranked 223rd) will meet Milford (ranked 60th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
