In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Gunnison Valley came out on top. They blew past the North Sevier Wolves 10-0 on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Daxton Knudsen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Porter Comin, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Gunnison Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Sevier only posted an OBP of .263.
The victory was the third in a row for Gunnison Valley, bringing their record up to 15-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.
