Softball Recap: Beachside Barracudas vs. Englewood Rams
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Beachside had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Englewood Rams a 15-0 shutout. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Beachside has managed all season.
Samantha Ulrich made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ulrich was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Tatum Pocol was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mallie Meadows, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.
