Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Mccarthy Has No Trouble Against American Heritage

With a playoff win on the line, Archbishop McCarthy rose to the challenge on Monday. Everything went their way against the American Heritage Patriots as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Josef Pfeiffer was a one-man wrecking crew as he had six aces and four digs. What's more, he racked up 13 assists, the most he's had since April 1st. Gabriel Pratts also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.

Archbishop McCarthy's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for American Heritage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Archbishop McCarthy will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight. American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
