Softball Recap: Adams Central Flying Jets vs. Parkway Panthers
If Adams Central was feeling good off their 11-1 takedown of Southern Wells last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Adams Central Flying Jets fell just short of the Parkway Panthers by a score of 9-7 on Friday. Adams Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parkway apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.
Melina Peralez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Thomas, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Adams Central will head out on the road to square off against Woodlan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodlan is coming into the match with four straight wins at home, so Adams Central will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Parkway will take on Elida at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Elida's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Parkway's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
