Baseball Recap: Catskill Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Catskill's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Taconic Hills Titans on Monday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Cats were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Catskill and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Taconic Hills, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Catskill will challenge rival Maple Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Taconic Hills is set to face off against their familiar foe Coxsackie-Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 0.2, the Riverhawks 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
