Football Recap: Maranacook Black Bears vs. Mountain Valley Falcons
Maranacook lost against Mountain Valley back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maranacook Black Bears were outmatched by the Mountain Valley Falcons at home and fell 42-6. The Black Bears were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Adam Gammon went supernova for Mountain Valley, rushing for 111 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries.
Maranacook's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mountain Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.
Maranacook will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Poland at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th. As for Mountain Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Dirigo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
