Softball Game Preview: Harrison Goblins vs. Russellville Cyclones

The Harrison Goblins will head out on the road to square off against the Russellville Cyclones at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 7.

Harrison came up short against Elkins on Tuesday, falling 17-2.

Meanwhile, Russellville fell victim to Pottsville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Apaches. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cyclones have suffered against the Apaches since March 10, 2017.

This is the second loss in a row for Russellville and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Harrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Harrison beat Russellville 9-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Goblins repeat their success, or do the Cyclones have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
