Baseball Recap: Parkersburg Big Reds vs. East Fairmont Bees
Parkersburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Fairmont Bees.

Cooper Cancade was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jesse Showalter and Parker Woods did some serious damage despite the final result: Showalter scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Woods scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Woods snagged this season.
