Baseball Recap: Elida Has No Trouble Against Riverdale

12 must be Elida's lucky number: they beat Riverdale with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Bulldogs blew past the Falcons 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Gavin Tickle was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Marc Troyer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

The win got Elida back to even at 4-4. As for Riverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Elida wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Ayersville on the 14th. Riverdale has also already played their next contest (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
