Recap: Danville Blue Devils vs. Springfield Tigers

The Danville Blue Devils extended their postseason success on Friday against the Springfield Tigers. Everything went Danville's way against Springfield as Danville made off with a 32-6 victory. The victory was just business as usual for Danville, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Danville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Delaughder, who rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Delaughder was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Another player making a difference was Bryer Boeshart, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The team's defense also helped out by holding Springfield to a paltry 142 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Danville's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out 7.5 times before it was all said and done. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.

Danville's victory was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Danville will take on Lowellville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lowellville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Springfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
