Preview: Dryden Cardinals vs. Lakeville Falcons
Dryden is 3-0 against Lakeville since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Dryden Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Lakeville Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dryden has five straight wins, Lakeville has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Dryden earned a 63-54 victory over Kingston. 63 seems to be a good number for Dryden as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Lakeville pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-58 to Hill-McCloy. Lakeville has struggled against Hill-McCloy recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Dryden pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Lakeville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
Dryden didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lakeville in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, but they still walked away with a 43-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dryden since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
