Softball Recap: Barnwell Snags 16th Victory in Last 19 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Barnwell rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Lake City Panthers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Barnwell saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Corley, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Barnwell has been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Lake City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Barnwell will venture away from home to take on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warhorses' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. Lake City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
