With a playoff win on the line, Britton Deerfield rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pittsford Wildcats 50-16. Considering the Patriots have won nine games by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

One reason for the win was Britton Deerfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Pittsford's QB won't forget Nick Bagby anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

The victory was the eighth in a row for Britton Deerfield, bringing their record up to 9-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41 points. As for Pittsford, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

Coming up, Britton Deerfield will be playing at home against Deckerville on Saturday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them. Pittsford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
