Soccer Game Preview: San Fernando vs. Kennedy

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the San Fernando take on the Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday... Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

San Fernando's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They beat Canoga Park by a goal, winning 1-0. The Tigers wouldn't have won without Axel Garcia, who scored the game-winner.

San Fernando was without their leading scorer, Jacob Angulo, in Wednesday's match. With Angulo sidelined, Garcia got his first action of the season. Garcia made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, for the first time since January 6th, Kennedy was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. Neither they nor Reseda could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Kennedy's draw makes their record 3-10-2 this season. As for San Fernando, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4-2 record this season.
