Baseball Recap: Vista Gets the Win

While Vista's victory against Oceanside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Pirates on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Giancarlo Corcuera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Vista's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Oceanside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
