Blackwell is 9-1 against Newkirk since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Blackwell Maroons are taking a road trip to face off against the Newkirk Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Blackwell is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Blackwell came up short against Cashion on Friday, falling 54-32. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Wildcats are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Newkirk beat Tonkawa 46-37 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Newkirk is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. As for Blackwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Blackwell didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Newkirk in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 57-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blackwell since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
