Basketball Recap: McCluer North Takes a Loss

McCluer North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 64-12 loss at the hands of the Hazelwood Central Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Hawks are ranked 117th).

McCluer North's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hazelwood Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

McCluer North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-8 defeat against Parkway West on the 30th. Hazelwood Central has also already played their next game, a 64-14 victory against Mehlville on the 31st.
