Volleyball Game Preview: Bloomer Blackhawks vs. Fall Creek Crickets

The Bloomer Blackhawks will be taking part in a tournament against the Fall Creek Crickets at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bloomer is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Bloomer came up short against Elk Mound and fell 3-1. While the Blackhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mounders 25-17 in the first set.

Bloomer started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Fall Creek got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They blew past Thorp 3-0. The match marked the Crickets' most dominant win of the season.

Fall Creek never let Thorp on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-14.

Fall Creek's victory bumped their record up to 20-13. As for Bloomer, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.

Bloomer came out on top in a nail-biter against Fall Creek in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Blackhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crickets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
