Volleyball Game Preview: LaMoille Lions vs. Somonauk Bobcats

LaMoille hasn't had much luck against Somonauk recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will take on the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, LaMoille came up short against Indian Creek and fell 2-0.

While LaMoille ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Somonauk didn't have quite enough to beat Dwight on Monday and fell 2-1. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-21 in the first set.

Somonauk started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-11.

LaMoille's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Somonauk, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

LaMoille couldn't quite get it done against Somonauk in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
