Volleyball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar lost against Barbers Hill back in September of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Texans lost 3-0 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Texans have suffered since November 5, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-10, 25-10.

Leading Barbers Hill to victory were Mina Ludwig and Sloane Berklund. Ludwig had 11 digs and three aces, while Berklund had three aces. That's the most aces Berklund has posted over her last six matchups.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Barbers Hill, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Barbers Hill will both be playing Cypress Springs the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Texans will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
